SYMPOSIUM CALL Contribute to the writing of the international anthology “Learning in University Education – Contemporary Standpoints” to be published by Libri Publishing Ltd. Join fellow authors for an inspiring and productive symposium on Aegina Island, Greece. Here all authors of accepted chapters will meet from June 3-7, 2012 to review, edit and finalise their chapters for the anthology. This will be the 7th international residential symposium organised by LIHE, especially designed to have a group of international experts join forces and collaboratively work on finalising a manuscript for international publication. ABOUT THE ANTHOLOGY With this anthology we wish to encourage a move from a discipline-based view to a learning-based view on higher education. We do so by introducing contemporary standpoints on learning. Learning is at the core of university education – as concept, process and outcome. But what is learning? When does learning take place? What does learning look like? How is learning measured? In what ways are learning conceptualized and dealt with at universities around the world? What are the consequences of such conceptualizations of learning for students’ learning processes and students’ learning outcomes?
