Mr. Emilio L. Cano from the University Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid will present EnRiMa during the 8thInternational R Users Meeting hosted by the Department of Biostatistics of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, from 12 to 15 June 2012.During a kaleidoscope session taking place on 14 June, Mr. Cano will give a talk entitled "Decision Making under Uncertainty: R implementation for Energy Efficient Buildings".The objective of the EU funded EnRiMa project is to develop a Decision Support System to support building energy managers in optimizing both strategic and operational decisions. During his talk, Mr. Cano will focus on the implementation of the Symbolic Model Specification (SMS) developed by the EnRiMa consortium utilizing the R language. He will also illustrate how reports and data files can be automatically generated from the SMS.The The UseR! Conference is an annual meeting focused on data analysis and statistical computing, providing a platform for R users to discuss and exchange ideas on how R can be used for statistical computations, data analysis, visualization and applications in various field. The event aims to give an overview of the new features of the evolving R project, gathering participants to discuss developments and applications of R.
