ICICTE 2012, which will be held on Rhodes, Greece, between 5 and 7 July, 2012, will seek to address the many challenges and new directions presented by technological innovations in educational settings. Following in the tradition of previous ICICTE conferences, ICICTE 2012 will bring together an international community of scholars and practitioners in a forum setting. Opportunities for discussion on current thinking and practices in applications of technology to education are enhanced by the limited number of participants. For a full listing of topics for ICICTE 2012, please consult the conference Aims and Themes.We are pleased to note that Campus-Wide Information Systems and the Journal of Cyber Ethics in Education will again devote special issues to selected papers from ICICTE. The keynote speakers are:Professor Morten Flate Paulsen, Professor of Online Education at the Norwegian School of Information Technology, Norway, President of the European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN), and the theme of his speech is "Cooperative Freedom and Transparency in Online Education".Dr Russell Stannard, Principal Teaching Fellow at the University of Warwick, UK, and the theme of his speech is "Simple Tools that can Revolutionse Feedback we Provide".Closing ceremonies will include presentation of the ICICTE Graduate Student Paper Prize and other awards. First given in 2004 as the UFV Graduate Student Paper Prize, this award recognizes the work of upcoming scholars and practitioners. The conference’s social programs have always brought Greek hospitality to the fore of our meetings and discussions.
