Protocol is essential for conducting smooth relations in public life and official ceremonies.Participants will be introduced to history and principles of protocol as well as to presentation of tasks and functions of modern ambassadors and army officers and representation and diplomatic etiquette. They will also learn the main techniques for the organisation of events where food and drinks are to be served.Course attendants will learn practical skills necessary for the effective conduct of official events and relations with the media. They will get a general overview of the issues protocol officers may face when having intercultural relations.Our students and alumni have had the opportunity to listen to, learn from and are challenged by leading experts from the fields of protocol and diplomacy, such as the former European Union Ambassador to the Holy See, the former Chief of Royal Protocol of Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, the former Chief of Protocol of the European Commission, the Head of Information at the International Criminal Court, the former Belgian Ambassador to China, the Head of Protocol of the European Parliament.
