MAITRE's media training seminar is to be held at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca, Romania the 6 and the 7 September 2012
The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca, Romania has been selected for hosting a professisonal media training for food and nutrition researchers on the 6th-7th of September2012.The prestigious Romanian University, which aim is to use research to improve both consumers knowledge and the quality of agro-food production is inviting food researchers and nutrition scientists for a two days media training. The seminar is open to all reserachers from the country and from the other local reserachers centres.The seminar is organised by MAITRE- Media Actions for the International Training of Researchers, a European project supported by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme, aiming to give food and nutrition research a higher profile in Europe, by providing professional media training for reseachers.The seminar will be held by senior professional journalists and will give the researchers hands-on experience and practical sessions on how to improve their communication ability to convey news and outcomes of their research to the general public. The seminar will give the researchers also the possibility to get into anetwork of other researchers and science journalists.
