The Conference represents the jointcollaboration of three leading institutions in the care of children with chronic diseases and people with disabilities: Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Israel National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).Leading healthcare professionals from Hadassah, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and other guests from Israel and around the world will lecture and conduct symposia on a wide range of topics related to pediatric and adolescent chronic diseases, disabilities and human development. Specific topics to be addressed include: the management of children and adolescents with chronic diseases, pain management, intellectual disability, autism, eating disorders, mental illness, impact of chronic disease and disability on human development, shared decision-making, improved quality of care and strategies for ensuring the social and educational enfranchisement of children with chronic diseases or people with disabilities.The lectures and workshops of the Conference are geared to professionals from all disciplines involved in the care of children and adolescents with chronic diseases and people with disabilities as well as those involved in the field of human development and publichealth. The organizers of the conference are inviting the submission of abstracts.
