Oman HR and Nationalisation Congress 2013

Implementing sustainable human resources strategies to develop and retain public and private sector staff and help build a knowledge based economy in Oman

With recent changes to the Labour Law affecting business profitability, productivity and sustainability, the importance of sourcing, attracting and retaining a strong Omani workforce is vital. His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has underlined the growing need for collective efforts to boost Omanisation stating that ‘citizens should be aware of their vital role in working for the success of the governments plan for private sector employment, and for the gradual replacement by Omanis of skilled and unskilled expatriates.’TheHR and Nationalisation Congress Oman, developed by IQPC and GEC, is therefore being held in order to provide a platform for HR, training and education professionals from public and private cross-industry organisations to come together and share insights and exchange best practices for implementing a successful HR development and nationalisation programme in order to meet the changing and growing demands of the country’s marketplace.The congress will be held between the10 - 13 February 2013and will consist of a two day conference as well as two days of workshops.
