The future of trust in the digital world

This independent two-day conference organized by EEMA & TDL & CSP EU FORUM, hosted by DG CONNECT, European Commission and in partnership with the SECCORD project will comprise of a variety of presentations and panel discussions covering the key challenges and strategies available to effectively manage employee, citizen and corporate trust.  The conference is an essential date for those in business, public sector and government who are involved in the policy, security, systems and processes surrounding trust.Trust is an essential pre-requisite for connecting people in effective human and enterprise transactions. Trust builds in our society on the rule of law and stable democratic institutions, coordination efforts such as this conference must go across Member States, industrial and service sectors, academia, public authorities and representatives of citizens to leverage European strength. It must also bring together European efforts and should play a clear role in the ongoing discussions on the Future Internet.At a time of highly adaptive security threats, with four main strands - cyber-criminals, cyber-terrorists, political hacktivists and rogue employees – conspiring to create severe headaches for IT security professionals in all classes of public and private sector industries.We need to consider whilst some of these may appear to be old - they are still very much a threat and will be exploited further in 2013 as the hackers upgrade and invigorate them.  This means that cybercriminals can – and will – discover new malware insertion methodologies that allow them to monetise their frauds, steal data and hit corporate reputations where it hurts most: on the bottom line.Trust in a Digital World is the primary gathering for IT and business professionals responsible for delivering a successful mature Trust program.
