After a general introduction by Karl Falkenberg, followed by 4 cases, three parallel sessions will target specific audiences. Technical sessions on techniques for characterization or remediation address environmental experts. Urban planners, policymakers and city representatives are invited to the session on communication and economical aspects. The second day focuses on the integration of different disciplines. Case studies will present how different disciplines are integrated in one approach. A panel with leading persons will discuss the necessity of changes in practice and policy. In the afternoon of the second day a site visit will be made to the ongoing remediation of the Waalse Krook site, a textbook case of integrated approach.
