Annual Worldwide Nursing Conference

WNC 2013

Welcome to the website of the 1st Annual Worldwide Nursing Conference (WNC) to be held in beautiful and vibrant Singapore. Nursing practice is both a science and an art. It requires scientific skill yet demands a strong background in the social sciences and humanities. Nursing makes a significant contribution to the health maintenance, health promotion and well-being of individuals, local communities and populations. The theme of the 2013 conference is health disparities. As a key part of the health workforce nurses are at the forefront of the provision of health care, and carry out their work in a global context of increasing social, economic and cultural inequalities that impact health. A major challenge for current and future nursing practice, education and management is to address health for all and work towards equity and access to health care. The Annual Worldwide Nursing Conference (WNC) aims to explore advances in nursing practice, management and education in relation to health disparities as well as a breadth of other topics. Through networking and sharing, WNC will provide an opportunity for nursing practitioners and educators to exchange research evidence, models of best practice and innovative ideas. The Conference Committee will ensure there is a program of leading topics with international expert speakers. Throughout the two days there will be opportunities to hear key presentations and seminars and participate in workshops focused on innovation in nursing research, practice, education and management. We warmly welcome you to explore the conference details and join us for a very exciting and informative conference.Keynote Address "Postgraduate Research Education in Nursing: What Are the Essentials to Inspire Success?" will be delivered by:Opening Address will be delivered by: Prof. the Hon.
