Program Purpose / ObjectivesFollowing attendance at this educational activity, participants should be able to:Review stepwise approach to evaluating patients with common skin conditions and diseasesIdentify superficial fungus infections based on physical diagnostic criteriaAsses the clinical features and treatment of scabies and lice infectionsReview the clinical features of herpes simplex, and herpes zoster infectionsDiscuss clues to the diagnosis of eczemaReview available drugs to treat psoriasisReview the clinical features of Papillomavirus infectionDevelop an understanding of the pathogenesis of acneRecognize the clinical features of normal “moles” based on the natural history of these lesionsReview the indications for common surgical proceduresReview selected techniques in dermatologic surgeryIdentify clinical features of common blistering diseasesThis live activity, Dermatology for the Primary Care Provider Cruise Conference, with a beginning date of July 14, 2012, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 13.25 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Conference Sessions generally take place during the days at sea (as cruise itinerary allows) to avoid conflicts with Ports of Call or evening entertainment.
