How to prepare a presentation

We all need time to prepare ourselves before we launch into a presentation. It is that time of the year when you are looking forward to giving presentations to different audiences.

We all need time to prepare ourselves before we launch into a presentation. It is that time of the year when you are looking forward to giving presentations to different audiences. But so often we do not give ourselves the chance to prepare ourselves for the presentation or speeches for the upcoming season. Let’s change that and spend some time looking at the principles that we can all learn and apply to give our presentations emphasis. This session is for anyone who has to prepare and deliver a presentation or a speech in the EU policy influencing game or pitches to new clients in the corporate world. This session is for anyone who is in the business of trying to influence the EU institutions, their members, their customers or the media. In this session we will look at:     Planning the storyline of your presentation     Analysing your target audiences so that your content resonates     Ways we can add emphasis to your messages     How we use visual aids to support your talk Audience participation required This is an interactive session and you will take part in group work where you will plan the structure of a presentation.
