The title of the conference is “Education for Sustainable Development”.Education for sustainable development (ESD) is a matter of rapidly growing importance, concern and recognition on international, European, national and local levels. In all countries and cultures, education and training is the key in order to describe, re-orient for and build knowledge, understanding and action for a sustainable future.Education for Sustainable Development allows every human being to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values necessary to shape a sustainable future. ESD means including key sustainable development issues into teaching and learning. The conference will therefore portray a range of pedagogical angles and elements to such sustainable teaching and learning. Within the topic of the conference, thematically the programme will address ecological, social and economic perspectives on ESD.The conference topic will be introduced by internationally recognized experts in this focal area of the conference, followed by parallel sessions of lectures and workshops led by practitioners and researchers.
