The International Supply Management Congress will host its 4th event on November 5, 2013.This year’s program focusses on two themes: INNOVATION and INTEGRATION. The program will be provocative and interactive, inspired by the world-renowned TED-lectures. Moreover, the conference will be opened by the ‘bell’ of the neighbouring and modern Stock Exchange. The conference is endorsed by eight private sector partners whom are committed to present a forum for debate and inspiration regarding the future of procurement and sustainable supply chains.  InnovationThe so-called 'circular economy' implies the generation of new – both bio based  and so called ´technical´– materials which are bound and designed to be regenerated for next cycles in the economy. New business models are under construction, which serve the use of products rather than the ownership. What will be the impact of the circular economy on the reduction of environmental impact, human rights and geopolitical issues? Could it lead to 'disruptive’ situations and how do business-leaders cope with it? What kind of leadership is needed? And – of course – to what extent will the circular economy impact the profession of the supply chain managers?  IntegrationHow can value chains be integrated from consumer / customer to the source of materials by all stakeholders involved in the value chain? With the objective to achieve new ways of collaboration on innovation, sustainability in issues like responsible material supply, waste management,  quality and service improvement and so on. What positive impact do we strive for suppliers in emerging and developing countries and on people who are part of the so-called Base of the Pyramid? What is the pull of consumers and customers? And how crucial is the role of the supply chain manager in collaborating with partners to achieve these objectives?
