Save the date: on 1st April 2014, the FFA returns to Brussels! As always, the FFA welcomes all stakeholders to share their views on challenges and opportunities facing European agriculture and everything related to it.
Building on a rich six year history of free and open debates on the future of agriculture, the annual Forum for Agriculture (FFA) returns to Brussels onTuesday 1st April. Currently in its 7th edition, the FFA2014 will continue to be the premier meeting place for those who have a stake in the future of agriculture.This year, both the future Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the United States, and sustainable food production will be key topics. FFA speakers and panellists will examine what these issues and others mean for the future of EU agricultural production, environmental conservation and consumer’s well-being. International decision makers will seek to uncover in their debates how best to reconcile crop production with ecological preservation, bringing inventive and stimulating solutions to the table.The FFA always convenes luminaries from various leading international institutions, such as the European Commission, the European Council, the European Parliament, the food/farming chain, NGOs, and businesses from every sector to present their views on global food security and sustainability.Discussions will be moderated by Stephen Sackur, from the BBC, and Matthew Dempsey, from "Irish Farmers Journal".The FFA2014 promises to be even more indispensable, engaging and exciting than ever!
