This event is aimed at importers, manufacturers, and retailers  of articles, whether as finished products or for further assembly within the EU,  who need to gain a better understanding of their obligations under REACH and  how to comply.   Under the REACH Regulation an “article”  means pretty much anything that isn’t a chemical: clothing,  furniture, motor vehicle parts etc. Every product is made from substances, and  substances in articles need to be “registered” if they are intended to be  released. We will start with the basics - "how do you define an article".During the day we will also explain the importance of the Candidate List and what obligations this may place on you to communicate with your customers as well as the possible requirement to notify the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) - with practical tips on how to do this.Finally we will wrap up the day by considering some of the practicalities of managing this information within your business.
