People are not used to hearing the words “sustainable agriculture” and “pesticides” in the same sentence, but they go together in ways you may not expect.Pesticides are integral to a more productive and resource-efficient agriculture that can help meet global challenges like producing more raw materials to satisfy the increasing and diversifying demands of a growing world population, while at the same time protecting health and the environment. In the coming decades we will need to have more of everything – more food, more feed, more non-food crops, more biodiversity and natural habitats – while at the same time reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
