On 12 December 2014, PLS organises the final conference of the Wood2Good project on the topic of 'restructuring the wood sector in Europe: best practices and recommendations'.Gathered under the Wood2Good project, a set of actors from different European countries (Spain, Belgium, France, the UK, Hungary and Italy) has worked over a year to understand the current economic and social situation of the wood sector, affected by the current crisis. Such investigations enabled the consortium to elaborate concrete recommendations in order to make the timber industry a remarkable sector of the green economy.The conference aims at presenting an overall view of the Wood2Good results such as: analysis of the situation in the wood sector in the countries involved in the project and case studies; good practices and innovative proposals supporting the transition of the timber industry toward a greener economy; recommendations regarding the opportunities offered by the restructuring of the wood sector in the perspective of transition towards a green economy.
