Think of it as a short description with teachers’ notes, so that readers of the HANDBOOK will be able to learn from your example and try your teaching and learning innovation themselves.About the symposiumThe LiHE 2016 Copenhagen Summit on INNOVATIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING PRACTICES IN HIGHER EDUCATION takes place in wonderful Copenhagen, Denmark. During the symposium you will visit the Steelcase Active Learning Centre at Hans Christian Andersen’s Boulevard run by the Institute for Learning in Higher Education together with Steelcase University. The symposium itself takes place at Kulturhuset (The House of Culture) at Islands Brygge. Islands Brygge is a former industrial area which is now renovated with new apartments, institutions of culture, open air harbour baths, cafés and restaurants. Islands Brygge is only 500 meters from the City Hall of Copenhagen and 900 meters from Copenhagen Central Station.About the editorsThe book is edited by Professor Dr. Claus Nygaard, Institute for Learning in Higher Education; Professor Dr. John Branch, University of Michigan; Professor Dr. Paul Bartholomew, Aston University.
