OverviewThe School is designed to offer two weeks “full immersion” in user charges regulation of local public services (e.g. waste, water, public transport, district heating, sport facilities) and is addressed to undergraduate students at their last year, graduate students and officials from the Public Administration (municipalities, counties, regional bodies) and regulatory agencies.ProgrammeThe programme is designed as an intensive workshop, combining theoretical and practical courses. More specifically it is divided into three parts: theory, economic models and analytical instruments for local regulation; sector analysis (e.g. water cycle, urban waste) and country-based cases studies; local site-visits and a practical experience with virtual regulatory case studies developed by working groups.The Summer School is a unique international experience, offering the opportunity to meet an international faculty and participants from all over the world, interested in learning and sharing experiences about local policies and local regulation. Applications and DeadlinesThe application form will be on-line as from February the 3rd 2016.The deadline for the submission of the application form is the 5th of June 2016.Admitted attendants will be contacted directly by email by the 17th of June 2016.Fee The participation fee for selected participants is equal to 150 EUR and it includes 2-week FREE accommodation.For participants from non-OECD countries or post-2004 EU member States registration and accommodation is FREE: a 150 EUR-deposit is due. The deposit will be totally refunded at the end of the School.
