How photonics can contribute to reliable environmental monitoring

The International Photonics Advocacy Coalition (IPAC) is delighted to invite you to a stakeholder discussion on environmental policy challenges and solutions for accurate and reliable monitoring and measurement in Europe and beyond.

During the week of the annual meeting of European Public-Private Partnership Photonics 21, this timely workshop will bring together stakeholders from the EU institutions, policy organizations, academia, NGO’s and high-tech industry to examine photonics-based technology solutions for environmental policy implementation, particularly in the realm of climate change and the EU’s commitment to address it.

Guest speakers include:

  • Thomas Brunhes - DG CLIMA, European Commission
  • Peter Breger - DG GROW, European Commission
  • Georgios Amanatidis - ENVI Committee Secretariat, European Parliament
  • Jérôme Béquignon- European Space Agency
  • Grant Allan - Fraser of Allander Institute
  • Philip DeCola - Sigma Space Corporation

We hope you can join us for this event on 28 March in Brussels to discuss the policy challenges in environmental monitoring and innovative technology solutions. The discussion will take place between 11:00 and 13:00, and will be followed by a networking lunch.
