Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph. D., experienced a stroke in her Left Brain and was forced to live through 4 hours of new experiences as she functioned with only her Right Brain intact. As a result of this experience she wrote a book, "My Stroke of Insight". This book should be required reading for anyone who interacts with people during their work day. She learned a lot from this experience. One learning is that Fear (anxiety) resides in the Left Brain. During her 4 hours, she felt no fear, only joy and exhilaration. Using this insight I have structured a quick exercise that switched your attention from your Left Brain to your Right Brain and thus erases fear and anxiety. You must try it to believe it.
Why should you Attend: It may be hard to believe, but the reason most people do not handle anxiety well is simply ignorance of how to change a pattern. All the internal and external manifestations of anxiety show up and most of us simply wait for the stress situation to improve.
This response is outdated and even destructive to your health. Instead here we will introduce you to the idea that all emotions change after 90 seconds. Once you know this for a fact, you can structure a new response to anxiety. This new response makes you more creative and more effective in whatever behavior you choose to use next.
I will demonstrate this to members of the audience so they will already know how to do this by the end of the session.
