The BCFN Foundation is pleased to invite you to attend its International Forum on Food and Nutrition to be held on June 6 at the Square, in Rue Mont des Arts, Brussels.
The BCFN Forum is an international platform for debating and networking, designed to work on practical solutions for the environmental, health and socio-economic challenges facing the current food system.
On 6 June participants will notably be invited to reflect on the critical issue of migration, in particular discussing its close links to food insecurity, climate change and conflicts. The Forum will also provide opportunities to reflect on our current food system, rural development and the future of the Common Agricultural Policy, debating how to achieve impactful results that can change people's lives.
Participants will hear amongst other from Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan, Members of the European Parliament including Vice-Chair of the AGRI Committee Paolo de Castro, UN Scaling Up Nutrition Coordinator Gerda Verburg, and musician and activist Bob Geldof. The Forum’s innovative format will combine interactive panel debates and quizzes with presentations of real stories and solutions taking place on the ground, and will also give the opportunity for audience members themselves to react to the main points of debate.
The International Forum on Food and Nutrition, organized by the Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition Foundation (BCFN) together with the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and the United Nation's Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN), is a unique opportunity to debate, share ideas and experiences to stimulate new pathways and find innovative solutions for the urgent challenges with which we are currently faced.
