Four days before the next General Affairs Council (held 12/11), where the government of Poland will not be heard for the first time since the Article 7(1) procedure was launched, FIDH and PSAL are publishing a new report, urging the EU not to let the momentum on Poland wane.
Our new report, entitled « Poland: All downhill from here: The rapid degradation of the rule of law in Poland: what it means for women’s sexual and reproductive rights, and LGBT+ persons’ rights », comes at a time where there seems to be no political will from the Polish government to backtrack on liberticidal reforms.
In that context, the FIDH-PSAL report sheds light on the very concrete consequences the degradation of the rule of law in Poland has on everyday Polish citizens, and in particular on women’s sexual and reproductive rights and LGBT+ persons’ rights.
