20th FIMTE Courses on Spanish Keyboard Music FIMTE 2019

DANCING SCARLATTI for Keyboardists

A 11 hours course intended to keyboardists
Selected Scarlatti sonatas will be examined from a dancing perspective, involving both theory and practical lessons on eighteenth century Spanish dance and keyboard performance. Repertoire: Domenico Scarlatti sonatas with an emphasis on the Essercizi (K1- K30) and sonatas K54, K208, K209, K376, K380, K491 and K454.
Instruments: harpsichord, clavichord and piano
Teachers: Luisa Morales (keyboards) & Cristóbal Salvador (dance and castanets)
The course is limited to 8 participants
Inscription fee: €240

Instruments available: harpsichord J. Klinkhamer, based on eighteenth century Spanish models (2 manuals, FF-g’’’); harpsichord J. Martí after Christian Zell, Hamburg, 1728 (2 manuals, FF-d’’’); clavichord M. Scheer-Vogel after Grabalos, Barcelona (FF-f’’’’); Baby grand piano Weinbach.
