Please join us at @MicrosoftEU for a #BookTalk with Linda Liukas, software programmer and bestselling author and illustrator of Hello Ruby a children’s picture book about the whimsical world of technology, computing and coding.
Linda thinks that technology is about humans and their big ideas. She will discuss how we can move towards a more humane tech industry, and what it means to approach technology from that unique perspective. Through practical examples, she will explore modern interpretations of the intersection between humanities and technology.
Founder of Rails Girls, a global movement to teach young women all over the world programming, she was listed in 2018 among Forbes Top 50 Women in Tech Europe. Her TED Talk on “A delightful way to teach kids about computers” has gathered million views, and she was named in 2013 the Digital Champion of Finland by the EU Commissioner for Digital Agenda.
The event will be moderated by Susanna Makela, Senior Director Government Affairs at Microsoft Europe.
