Digital risk is one of the most significant yet underestimated threats facing SMEs in Europe. In the age of Big Data, online trading and market digitisation, no business can escape exposure to at least some form of digital risk. Businesses that suffer cybersecurity incidents face repercussions that range from negative financial outcomes to reputation damage.
The COVID-19 crisis, like any other unexpected global crisis, has given rise to new forms of cybercrime, to which SMEs are especially vulnerable. Addressing cyber threats and the needs for SMEs is more critical than ever before.
Our aim is that this webinar will accelerate the work of private and public sector actors to find solutions to protect SMEs from cybercrime and lessen its impact.
This webinar will set the legislative and policy context in which we are operating, assess the threats to and priority needs of SMEs; and identify possible solutions and tools to address the modern cybersecurity challenges, particularly in the light of COVID-19.
