Financial rules in Horizon Europe - focus on changes from H2020

Are you ready for the challenges and changes to come in Horizon Europe?

90+30 minutes long live practical webinar based on our experience gained in 20 years.

The European Commission this time – again - is trying to help the beneficiaries with further simplification and harmonising financial reporting rules between different programmes.

Do you know how does it affect your system? Will it be simpler for you?

Conceptually, concerning cost identification and reporting, not much seems to be changing. However, the devil is always hidden in the details – calculating personnel costs, internally invoiced items, and many more is to have major updates comparing to Horizon ;

For example, when you calculate personnel costs for your reports, you will assumingly use the same method for Erasmus or Horizon ;

At the same time, this will have a significant change to your existing practices on calculating eligible personnel costs!

Gabor Kitley, a financial expert of EU funds will explain the key differences and help you to avoid making mistakes in this ;

Main topics of discussion:

  • Conceptual approach, changes in terminology

  • Cost reporting variations

  • Personnel cost calculation – challenges with daily rates and simplified options – a direct comparison between H2020 and Horizon Europe

  • Internal invoices – how can you have your procedures accepted even including overhead in your unit rate?

  • Mutual Insurance Mechanism, CFS limits and System and Process Audits
