Regional branding and digital nomads

On 17 and 18 October 2023, the Policy Learning Platform is hosting a peer review together with the Põlvamaa County Development Centre (Estonia) in Ireland. The focus of this peer review will be on regional branding and digital nomads.

The main policy challenges that will be discussed during the peer review can be narrowed down to three interlinked sub-topics:Regional brandingCurrently, the region has decided to brand itself as a great destination for teleworking.Lifestyle migrants and digital nomadsRegional branding is directly linked with getting the attention of digital nomads/lifestyle migrants. The region wants to attract more people from this segment with the hope that it would also diversify local entrepreneurship (especially in the service sector).Retaining those who comeThe event is by invite only. The key learnings and recommendations will be published afterward.
