Innovation Fund 2023 Auction Info Day
On 30 November, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the European Commission's DG Climate Action are organising an info day for the Innovation Fund 2023 Auction (IF23 Auction).
With a revenue of €40 billion from 2020 to 2030 from the EU Emissions Trading System, the Innovation Fund aims to create financial incentives for companies and public authorities to invest in cutting-edge low-carbon technologies and support Europe's transition to climate neutrality.
The Innovation Fund already secured about € billion for clean tech projects through its previous calls for proposals. Auctions are a new support mechanism to foster faster and more cost-efficient support for the roll-out of low-carbon technologies.
On 23 November 2023, the Commission is launching two calls for proposals to accelerate the deployment of innovative technologies in Europe: the Innovation Fund 2023 Call (IF23 Call) and the Innovation Fund 2023 Auction (IF23 Auction). The info day for the IF23 Call is taking place on 7 December 2023.
