The TIMEPAC platform focuses on developing skills for assessing and certifying building energy performance. Through specialized webinars, courses, and resources, the TIMEPAC Academy empowers professionals to drive energy efficiency and sustainability in the built environment.
The upcoming revision of the EPBD includes measures to facilitate targeted financing for residential building investments and introduce minimum energy performance standards for non-residential buildings. The goal is to decarbonize the building stock by increasing renovation and improving energy performance. These initiatives aim to enhance the reliability, quality, and digitalization of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), establishing energy performance classes based on common criteria.
In the context of the TIMEPAC project, EPCs are envisioned as digital repositories of integrated information, going beyond traditional paper-based documents. However, current EPCs mainly serve end-users and lack reliable technical data.
The enhanced EPC should become a central document accessible to various stakeholders, including end-users, energy certifiers, and authorities. Therefore, the next-generation energy certificate needs to be tailored to specific audiences and purposes.
This webinar will demonstrate how to utilize EPC data for deep energy renovation projects and provide insights into monitoring and verifying energy savings, with a focus on the potential role of EPCs in this process. The objective is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed for deep energy renovation projects and energy savings verification.
