Companion Animals Stakeholder Summit – The Human-Animal Bond

The event will bring together stakeholders to explore the mutually beneficial relationship between companion animals and humans. Please register via Eventbrite for the full agenda.

The Companion Animals Stakeholder Summit will bring together stakeholders to explore the mutually beneficial relationship between companion animal health and human health, and in particular to discuss how pet companionship is linked to mental health and healthy ageing. For this occasion, Zoetis – a global leader in animal health – in partnership with FECAVA will present their joint report ‘The Human-Animal Bond’.

The programme aims to stimulate a discussion on the wellbeing of pets. Panellists will highlight the barriers that currently challenge the relationship between European citizens and their companion animals, and discuss responsible ownership, as well as challenges to proper veterinary care for pets. The event will investigate solutions to implement at EU- and national levels, providing recommendations that can drive tangible policy change and enable all of us to fully harness the reciprocal benefits of caring for companion animals.
