Juncker Commission interim balance Consumer performance check

When Jean-Claude Juncker became president of the European Commission, he promised “to be big on big things and small and modest on smaller things” . In the first two-and-a-half years of its five-year tenure, the Juncker Commis - sion has launched several big initiatives, including bringing down barriers in the EU’s Digital Single Market and building an Energy Union to make energy more secure, affordable and sustainable. In both areas, the Commission released a cascade of draft laws, many of which will bring direct benefits for consumers.
