Social,

After a rich career at the OECD, MPI and IOM, I am currently working as an independent expert on migration, integration, labour market, training/qualification and development policies.

Over the pêriod 2017-2020, I worked as Administrator/Migration Analyst in the OECD Directorate for Employment Labour and Social Affairs - International Migration Division, where my activities focused on: labour migration and labour market integration policy; migrant entrepreneurship; labour market information systems; recognition of foreign credentials; comprehensive migration policy reform; EU regulation and policy developments, with a focus on HOME and EMPL areas; return migration, reintegration and the linkages between migration and development.

Before that I worked for four fantastic years at the Migration Policy Institute (2013-2017), where I served as a Senior Policy Analyst with the Migration Policy Institute Europe, and as a Nonresident Fellow with MPI Washington. I also worked as a Research Officer at the International Organization for Migration (2012-13), and as a Policy Analyst in the International Migration Division of the OECD (2008-2012)

I have carried out research and published on a broad range of migration issues including: economic migration management (for employment and entrepreneurship); labour market integration of migrants and refugees; the effects of the establishment of free labor mobility areas on international migration; credential recognition in the EU, North America and ASEAN regions; the relative role of migration for addressing labor and skills shortages in the European Union; practices of access to labor market information in migrant employment in EU and OECD countries; comprehensive migration policy reform in OECD and emerging economies; diaspora engagement policies; return migration; and the linkages between migration and development.

I hold a master’s degree with honors in international relations, with specialization in European economic policy and the role of migration, and a bachelor’s degree in political sciences, both from the University of Rome, La Sapienza. I also earned a certificate in asylum law and international law.
