Track Systems Engineering

With both passenger and freight kilometres on the rise in all European countries the need for effective track superstructure from infrastructure owners has become ever more important.

With both passenger and freight kilometres on the rise in all European countries the need for effective track superstructure from infrastructure owners has become ever more important. The cheapest and quickest solution is no longer necessarily the best option for the infrastructure owners and life cycle costing is now becoming the largest factor in strategy and purchasing decisions. With infrastructure owners putting more pressure on their already congested tracks suppliers are continually developing more effective solutions to increase the sustainability of the network.Track Systems Engineering 2009 will bring together infrastructure owners, research and development organisations, consultants, construction engineers and suppliers to further the development of common strategy and to share experience from across Europe. Hosted by Technical University Munich and organised by European Railway Review this two day conference will include presentations from the most pre-eminent figures across Europe's rail industry. The event will provide open debate during the panel discussions, a technical visit to the Technical University Munich research facility as well as unrivalled networking opportunities such as an evening drinks reception as well as during the refreshment and lunch breaks.
