Reconnecting the European Parliament & its People

This event will examine public attitudes towards the European Parliament, assess the problems it faces & possible solutions.

Speakers include:- Rt Hon Denis MacShane MP, Former Europe Minister- Theresa Villiers MP, Shadow Cabinet and former MEP (tbc)- John Peet, Europe Editor, The Economist- Liz Atkins, Director of Public Policy, National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO)Chair: Rt Hon Charles Kennedy MP, FPC Co-President and President of the European MovementThis event will act as the launch of a series of four seminars being held across the UK by the Foreign Policy Centre and the European Commission examining public attitudes towards the European Parliament, assessing some of the problems it faces and exploring possible solutions.
