In this webinar with Q&A session, Dr. Monique Raats from the University of Surrey will discuss key findings from EUFIC’s pan-European study on consumer understanding and use of portion information on food and drink packages.The provision of nutritional information on a per portion basis forms an important part of current discussions regarding new legislation on food labelling. There is no official definition of a portion. Research is missing on what consumers consider a portion to be, what it should be based on, how a portion should be defined and who should define it, or whether portion information would help them understand nutrition information.On this background, EUFIC carried out a pan-European study with Dr Monique Raats from the University of Surrey, England, addressing:1.
