The event Energy Storage 2013 – International Summit for the Storage of Renewable Energies gives insight into all relevant areas of energy storage: Political Scenarios, Future Energy Supply, Grid Integration, Power2Gas, Thermal Storage, Batteries, Global Energy Storage Solutions, Home Energy Storage Solutions and issues concerning the financial and economical framework.The conference is a well-known forum for the key players from industry, power economy, politics, and science. 350 participants from 29 countries took part in the first event in 2012.The event is scheduled to take place on 18 and 19 March 2013 in Düsseldorf, Germany.The internationally renowned scientist Prof. Dr. Eicke R. Weber, spokesman of the Fraunhofer Energy Alliance and Head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Freiburg, is the Chairman of the Programme Committee. Federal environment minister Peter Altmaier as well as economist and president of the Foundation on Economic Trends Jeremy Rifkin will be the key note speakers.Part of the event is the Energy Storage Production Technology Forum 2013, on which current manufacturing technologies, applications, economy and other conditions for the improvement of batteries and the electrochemical storage market will be explored.The conference will be supported by a trade exhibition to round off the programme. The exhibitors will present marketable applications and new concepts in the field of energy storage. Both events provide the perfect opportunity to network and to meet the top decision makers from the energy storage industries, politics and research institutions.Energy Storage – Summit for the Storage of Renewable Energies is organized by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with Solarpraxis AG.
