REGISTER NOW FOR THE EUROPEAN RISK SUMMITLIMITED REGISTRATION AVAILABLEAn associated event of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union In this time of greater regulatory scrutiny and uncertainty the European Risk Summit will bring advanced discussions on the advantages of evidence and risk-based rulemaking to Trinity College Dublin, in a two-day event hosted by the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) and supported by King’s College London’s Centre for Risk Management (KCRM) and the Nickel Institute.Over the two half days, 11-12 June 2013, there will be debates and discussions on a variety of thematic risk policy issues:Promoting science based regulation in Europe – challenges and opportunities.Hazard classifications and risk assessments: How do we best regulate?The role of smart and better regulation: Lessons from the Member States and beyond.Risk based policy making and the precautionary principle: Have we got it right?The event will feature some of the top international risk-based policy experts and academics with speakers from some of Europe’s leading industry agencies and organisations.  The Summit will be chaired by the Director of King’s Centre for Risk Management, Professor Ragnar Löfstedt; Mr Pat O’Mahony, Chief Executive of the Irish Medicines Board; and Dr Kevin Bradley, President of the Nickel Institute.This event will be attended by European regulators, agencies, companies, as well as leading academics, all associated with the food, healthcare, and chemicals industries
