Towards a circular economy

How to reuse products or raw material in order to keep waste in the economic circle? How can a more efficient use of resources lead towards new perspectives of growth and employment? Following on the one hand the European Commission communication “Towards a circular economy: a zero waste program for Europe” and on the other hand the initiative on the efficient use of the resources pleaded by the Strategy Europe 2020, this conference will provide an opportunity to show how regional initiatives are key to turn Europe into a more circular economy.Grounding their analysis on Île-de-France examples, local stakeholders and European institutions’ representatives will not only debate the existing projects, but will also discuss the next further steps allowing the circular economy to become a concrete reality through better-coordinated policies, a more accurate legal framework and a boost of the research and innovation sector.
