Standards build trust

Join us in a TweetChat on World Standards Day - #SpeakStandardsEU

Join us in a TweetChat organized by the European Standardisation Organizations (CEN, CENELEC, ETSI) and DG Grow of the European Commission.

On 14 October the members of IEC, ISO and ITU celebrate ‘World Standards Day’, paying tribute to the collaborative efforts of the thousands of experts worldwide who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as international standards.

On this day, we’ll engage public authorities, industry, societal stakeholders and standardization bodies on ‘How standards build trust’.

When: Friday, 14 October 2016 from 11:00 to 12:00 (CET)
Where: @standards4EU
Hashtag: #SpeakStandardsEU

Why a TweetChat?

The TweetChat will follow the launch of the 15 Actions of the Joint Initiative on Standardization on Thursday, 13 October which highlight the inclusiveness and transparency of the standardization process, both elements of trust, as well as the element of trust standards bring to products and services.

Six questions are ready so you can prepare your contributions and/or responses on the day:

1. How can #standardization help the EU #SingleMarket?
2. How can we revamp #standardization in Europe?
3. How do we engage all the actors in #standardization?
4. How do #standards help European #business access #global #markets?
5. Should #standards be fast or timely?
6. Is European #standardization fit for the future? #digitization #servitization

We look forward to your participation!
