A lot of our time is being spent on advising executives and leaders about talent and the latest programmes, ideas, strategies on how best to recruit, onboard, coach, teach, develop and retain them. We dedicate budgets, resources and numerous meetings to this area.

Nevertheless, in HR we are especially bad at self-development, we regularly fail when investing in the development of our teams and leave them until last when it comes to investing in talent.

If we want to adapt and grow the profession to deal with an ever-changing world of work then we need to Learn, Network & Benchmark and by this “professionalise the profession”.

Dave Ulrich said, "You're only effective if you add value. That means you're not measured by what you do but by what you deliver". Bottom line, HR has to start focusing on deliverable outcomes.

We need to encourage opportunities for the next-gen HR leaders to come together, to think, to talk and to share.
