Summer Course on European Competition Law

This course will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the basics of EU competition law and a comprehensive update on the latest developments in each field.

  • Key concepts of competition policy and economics
  • Methods for defining the relevant market
  • The rules applicable to vertical and horizontal agreements
  • The abuse of a dominant market position
  • Public and private enforcement of competition rules
  • The control of mergers at EU level
  • EU competition law rules applicable to State aid measures
  • Public-sector undertakings and the provision of Services of General Economic Interest

Participants will be able to deepen their knowledge through case studies and workshops.
 

Visit to the European Court of Justice

Participants in the summer course will have the opportunity to visit the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. 
 

Social programme

After a day's intensive training, enjoy our varied social programme: the course dinner with fellow participants, wine-tasting in the Mosel vineyards and  a tour of the historic city of Trier.
