Join us for a drink and chat with stakeholders from the European Education sector!

THE ERASMUS SALON #6

Are universities a hub for Lifelong Learning?

The Erasmus+ programme replaced in 2014 various pre-existing education, youth and sports programmes. The new programme was meant to cover all forms of education and training to provide European citizens with the opportunities to acquire skills and competences that will enable them to fully engage with society. Recently, the European Commission has announced the doubling of the Erasmus budget, but even taking into account, doubts remain over whether the new set up is prepared to guarantee education to learners of all ages.

Is the programme geared to allow all learners to take part in mobilities? What role do universities play for lifelong learning and is a European perspective relevant? To what extent does lifelong learning play a role in Erasmus+ projects? What can the future programme do to ensure access and inclusiveness for learners of all ages? These are some of the questions that will be asked and answered in this Salon, which is hosted in collaboration with the Lifelong Learning Platform and EU Events.

The event is held at the Aviators' Club. Aviators’ is an informal monthly gathering of colleagues working for Brussels-based organisations active in education, research, innovation and culture.

Join us for a drink & chat and have your say on virtual exchanges and Erasmus+!
