EU@Work Seminar on EU Affairs

Applications are open for TEPSA’s EU@Work Seminar on EU Affairs! Deadline for applications is Sunday 29 September 2019 (midnight).

Funded by the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Commission, this 4-day seminar will offer 15 excellent undergraduate students (Bachelor students and recent graduates, high-school students and recent graduates) an opportunity to gain first-hand insights from researchers, EU practitioners, policymakers and officials on the on the role and functioning of EU institutions and on the state of play of the main EU policies.

The seminar will take place in Brussels, at the heart of EU politics, from 19 to 22 November 2019.

The seminar is organised under the academic lead of Dr Ilke Toygür (Analyst at the Elcano Royal Institute and Adjunct Professor at the University Carlos III of Madrid) and will combine expert lectures and visits of key EU institutions, think tanks and civil society organisations.

The seminar includes visits to:
➢ The European Commission
➢ The Council of the European Union
➢ The European Parliament
➢ The European External Action Service (EEAS)
➢ The House of European History

The participation fee for the total 4-day seminar is € 100. Participants will receive a reimbursement for their travel and/or accommodation costs up to € 200 upon presentation of the original receipts and ;Applications are open to both EU and non-EU citizens. However, we can only offer travel reimbursement to participants travelling from and to: the member states of the European Union; Albania; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Kosovo; Montenegro; Serbia; and the Republic of North Macedonia.
