InnoWise Scale Competition on Water Scarcity: Agriculture's case study

Fostering innovation and entrepreneurship

The EIT Food South in collaboration with BIOAZUL and REVOLVE organise the InnoWise Scale competition on water scarcity taking the agriculture sector as case study. The event will take place online the 4 October at 9am CEST bringing together problem holders with solution providers to develop solutions to better manage water resources in the sector.

The competition will gather eight solution providers – with already developed or close-to-market solutions – that will compete to be selected for testing their solutions with SanLucar – the problem holder. In addition, the participants will have access to additional prizes – such as 12,000 euros in equity-free cash for the winner – to be used for scaling up their businesses. Don’t miss the competition Sign up here!

Carmen Galindo – project manager at EIT Food South – and Elvira Domingo – RIS Programme Manager at EIT Food – will open the session, leaving the floor to Fernando Bañón – production director at SanLucar – presenting the case study. Afterwards, Luciano Mateos – researcher at the Institute of Sustainable Agriculture - CSIC – will present the innovations in the agri-food sector to cope with water scarcity.

After the pitching session, Gaetane Suzennet – EU Water Tech Accelerator –, María Echávarri – Fondo Bolsa Social –, David Smith – WE&B – and Andrew Walker – G2O Water – will delve into the challenges and opportunities for investments in the water&agri-food sector. The award ceremony will take place at the end of the event, announcing the winners and the condition of the awards.

Meet the competitors, eight innovators from across Europe:
• Agrow Analytics (Spain)
• Bunt Planet (Spain)
• Neuropublic (Greece)
• Secaflor Sur (Spain)
• Sinafis (France)
• Soonapse (Italy)
• Visualnacert (Spain)
• Wings ICT Solutions (Greece)
