Cities and regions across Europe are working in community to implement effective climate adaptation action. However, they need support to make this happen. That’s where the EU Policy Support Facility comes in. Recognising the importance of local action to climate adaptation and resilience, the European Commission launched this Policy Support Facility to assist local and regional authorities develop and implement adaptation strategies under the Covenant of Mayors – Europe.

The EU Policy Support Facility is supporting European cities and regions through interactive webinar series. First up is a series on “Fostering local just resilience”, taking place online on 22, 23 and 24 March.

The panel discussion “Implementing a just climate adaptation” will focus on just transition as a resilience building process. Panelists will bring experiences of stakeholders' engagement and socially inclusive measures for climate adaptation. This will be the opportunity to introduce the activities that the Policy Support Facility will implement to support cities interested in a just resilience building process.
