The Let’s Talk Prostate Cancer virtual policy roundtable ‘Prostate cancer in light of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan: EU and regional perspectives’ aims to be a multi-stakeholder platform where participants can debate the level of political prioritisation given to prostate cancer, and why this needs to improve using the opportunity created by Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. Topics to be covered will include the importance of risk-based early detection, the impact of prostate cancer on the quality of life of patients and inequalities in prostate cancer care across the EU.

During the event, members of the Let’s Talk Prostate Cancer (LTPC) Expert Group, a pan-European expert group on prostate cancer, will outline the burden of prostate cancer in the EU and the challenges faced by patients and their families.

The event is hosted by MEP Juozas Olekas, Vice Chair of the LTPC Expert Group.
The LTPC campaign is a multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder initiative to address the challenges faced by people affected by prostate cancer and increase its policy prioritisation across Europe. It is led by an Expert Group representing key prostate cancer stakeholder organisations, including Europa Uomo, the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), The European Association of Urology (EAU), and The European Association of Urology Nurses (EAUN).
