Research Project 'Helicopter Underwater Evacuation #2 (HUE2)' — Final Dissemination Event

In 2020, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) commissioned an initial review of the research's nature. The results of the previous HUE research project provided a thorough assessment of underwater escape information, identified deficiencies, and recommended further action to address these gaps.

This current research project has focused on addressing two of the highest-priority recommendations from the previous project:

  1. Determining the maximum permissible forces required to operate underwater emergency
  2. Assessing the time required to perform an underwater escape from the passenger cabin with a full complement of

Following a public tender procedure, EASA awarded a Consortium led by the UK Civil Aviation Authority International (CAAi) for the implementation of this project. The project team has successfully completed all tasks and would like to invite you to the final dissemination event (webinar).
