VoteWatch Europe, the independent organisation which tracks the voting records of Members of the European Parliament and of the Council of Ministers, is pleased to invite you to its post-Strasbourg plenary session debriefing. In view of the two plenary sessions taking place this week, the briefing will exceptionally take place not this Friday but on Tuesday 30 October from 10.00 to 11.00 at the Brussels Press Club, 95 Rue Froissart, 1040 Brussels.  Votes to be analysed include:Annual and long-term EU budgetMarkets in financial instrumentsFuture of EU development policyConservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resourcesThese votes can and will be analysed only if they are held by roll call. Except in the case of final votes on legislative files, votes only take place by roll call at the request of a political group or group of MEPs.Doru Frantescu, VoteWatch Europe policy director, will present an analysis of the outcome of key votes being held in Strasbourg this week. He will show which coalitions of MEPs, national delegations and political groups were instrumental in passing - or blocking (elements of) these proposals, and how this relates to earlier votes on the same or similar topics.
